Deschamps and O'Connor invited to B.C. Lions camp

O'Connor & Deschamps

VANCOUVER – Two UBC Thunderbirds players have received invitations to the B.C. Lions' three-day mini-camp, beginning on Thursday, May 28, in Kamloops, B.C. Running Brandon Deschamps (Prince George, B.C.) was one of two undrafted CIS players added by the Lions to their training camp roster. As part of the Canadian Football League's ongoing efforts to develop elite Canadian quarterbacks, the Lions are pleased to welcome pivot Michael O'Connor (Ottawa). Deschamps finished his fourth season with the Thunderbirds in 2014, while O'Connor is a recruit who will be playing his first season of CIS football as part head coach Blake Nill's program, starting in the fall. - with files from B.C.
