Nill & Sidoo break ground on new Football Academic Centre

On Monday June 22nd, Coach Blake Nill and 13th Man Director David Sidoo, and representatives from Kindred Construction, UBC Athletics, and MCM Architects, ceremonially broke ground on the new $1.1 million Learning Centre for Academic Excellence. The first of its kind in Canada, the Learning Centre will serve as academic headquarters for the Football Program.

The 1,800 square foot Learning Centre is to be constructed adjacent to Thunderbird Stadium and will be used for team meetings, game preparation, and academic supervision. The Learning Centre will help ensure the success of current players and serve as an essential tool in recruiting top student-athletes to the Point Grey campus.
