Vanier Cup champion and former UBC defensive back Taylor Loffler will perform before the brass of one of the NFL's most storied franchises this summer. Late Saturday, CFL analyst Justin Dunk broke the news on Twitter that Loffler had accepted the Giants invitation to attend the team's mini-camp.
Loffler was an integral part of the Thunderbirds 2015 championship roster. The Kelowna, BC native recorded four interceptions, 68 solo tackles, and recovered two fumbles for UBC, as the 'Birds surprised the country by marching all the way to, then winning the CIS football championship.
Loffler was BC High School Football MVP in 2010 and received a scholarship to play Division 1 Football for Boise State in the NCAA. He transferred to UBC before the 2015 season.
Loffler responded to the news on Twitter by telling former Boise State teammates Darian Thompson and Donte Deayon, both currently on the Giants roster, "See you soon boys!"
