Dynamite Dinos ground T-Birds

Thunderbirds receiver Trivel Pinto heads upfield after snagging a pass during UBC’s tilt with the Calgary Dinos on Friday night at Thunderbird Stadium. Pinto had seven catches for 91 yards, but the visitors won 31-17 after blowing open a close game with three touchdowns in the third quarter. Calgary is now 5-0 on the season, while the T-Birds dropped to 3-2 and are tied for second place with Regina. Said head coach Blake Nill: “We started wearing down a bit, we started not executing, and then they just rolled on us. We need to be able to compete with those guys. … We have to make changes. Now it goes through Calgary. If we want a chance to get out of the league, we have to win in Calgary.”
